I knew this cafe was famous for its own roasted beans, so I came here with friends this morning. The cafe features beautiful windows overlooking the park, offering a lovely view. Inside, it was bustling with people, and seating was scarce. I love that they display the unique flavor profiles of each espresso bean on the board, as it would help customers tailor their orders to personal tastes. We ordered an iced latte, a cortado, and a cappuccino. Even though we each chose a different bean, we all agreed on one thing: the coffee was outstanding. I only hope they open another location in Kitsilano so I can visit daily. If you’re a coffee lover, this place is definitely worth a try!

The place is nice, as you have different options for sitting - inside or outside. As well as that - a decent range of coffee drinks and pastries. As for me, I have tried matcha latte, a huge portion, by the way and a plain croissant which was pretty good, not too greasy and not sweet. Also I know that this place is really valued among local office employees, as I used to be one of them)

I’ve found the perfect pairing for my coffee cravings, and it’s here at Milano Coffee Roasters. I came by three times this week to test the consistency of their incredible mocha from the killer dark mocha, raspberry, and the hazelnut hedgehog mocha- it never disappoints. As a mocha fan, I can easily say this is one of the best in Vancouver. On top of my discovery of the great mocha, I was tipped off by one of the baristas of an ideal match for it: the Hazelnut Dacquoise. It’s nutty, airy, slightly chewy, and delicately crispy—boy honestly it’s one of the best pastry and coffee pairing I’ve ever had. The topping has a delightful mix of chopped hazelnuts, and every bite brings a feeling of happiness and contentment. This slice is now on top of my list. Just the right size, making it guilt-free for health conscious people like me, plus it’s affordable. Part of me wanted to keep this as a secret—I don’t want them to run out of Dacquoise when I’m there! But why let this discovery stay a secret when others could feel the same joy? If I’m celebrating or just rewarding myself, this combo would now be one of my default options. I’ve tried other loaf cakes here, but nothing compares. I’m thrilled to have found this little comfort that keeps me coming back, and with such fantastic service and the relaxing view facing the Rogers Park setting the vibe, it’s become a true favourite spot.

Milano Coffee Roasters never disappoints, and their Coca D’oro espresso is a true standout. This blend is smooth, rich, and beautifully balanced, with a deep, chocolatey body and a hint of caramel sweetness. The craftsmanship behind their coffee is evident in every sip—bold yet refined, with a lingering, satisfying finish. Beyond the exceptional coffee, the atmosphere at Milano is warm and inviting, and the staff are always friendly and knowledgeable. Whether you’re a casual coffee drinker or a serious espresso lover, Milano sets the bar high. Highly recommend!

One of the best coffee roasters. Actually they are award winning. The baristas are excellent - the cafe lattes and cappuccinos are incredible and it’s one of the few places left in Vanc where the prices are still reasonable. The baked goods are very nice. It’s hard for me to resist their carrot cake. It can be busy later in the morning so if you want to beat the crowds you can come in as early as 7 or 8.

Wow, great coffee, great eats, great staff, and great seats! This cafe has amazing views of Vancouver in the morning. Past the dogs playing in the field across the street, you can see the sunrise and light of the Vancouver glass skyline with colours of cooper, red, orange, and sunshine yellow. All on the backdrop of skies and mountains- this is the place to go for your morning cup of gourmet Java! I hear he pucks his beans (ethically sourced) and roasts them himself. The truth is in the flavour!

This review is based on the ground coffee we get for our coffee machine at home. We always get their Butter coffee beans, we tried so many other coffee beans but always come back to this one. Highly recommend it.

We've been smelling the coffee roasting for ages and finally started to come regular. Although the seating is hit and miss – sometimes, we had to go elsewhere because there were many patrons parked long term with their laptops – we always try this place first because all the staff make consistent espresso drinks with excellent micro-foam and the order takers are experienced and accurate. They have an amazing variety of sandwiches, and it was my intent to try one soon except I finally became a vegan and missed the boat because they don't have any vegangluten-free sandwich offerings. I used to love the carrot cake, and still do, it is not sweet and very addictive, but now that I cannot eat eggs, wheat and dairy, that's out as well. My partner continues to enjoy it though, no longer able to share it with me. Despite the fact that the space is rustic and the couches are too soft, we love that it is on the second floor and gives us a great view of Jonathan Rogers Park and Vancouver. In the winter, they don't have a canopy, so we cannot sit outside and enjoy the fresh air. I vote that they install a new rain-proof awning and replace the cold metal chairs outside!!!
